Farm Bureau Extension: 2024 Continuing Education Series

California Farm Bureau presents the Farm Bureau Extension: 2023 CE Series held virtually. Join us throughout the year for webinars featuring content that meets your pesticide continuing education (CE) requirements. Subject matter experts will share information immediately applicable to your business operations and advance your professional development. CE certificates will be sent for each webinar attended after successful completion of a simple quiz on the material. New in 2022! This year's schedule will feature CE classes in English and Spanish.

The 2024 CE Series includes EIGHT class dates throughout the year. Class dates are: February 8, March 14, April 11, May 9, June 13, July 11, August 8, September 12, October 10, November 14th.

2024 Health and Safety on the Farm and Ranch:

California Farm Bureau is pleased to offer this year-long program of training sessions presented by Nationwide. Select topics will be presented in both English and Spanish. Access to these trainings is FREE for Farm Bureau members.

Trainings will be presented via Zoom. The Hazardous Agricultural Materials (HAM) training must be attended in person at a participating County Farm Bureau office or at the California Farm Bureau office in Sacramento.

The 2024 Health and Saftey on the Farm and Ranch Series includes SIXTEEN class dates throughout the year. Class dates are : February 6, March 5, March 12, April 9, April 23, May 7, June 4, June 18, July 2, July 16, August 6, September 3, September 24, October 1, November 5, November 19.

What: Young Farmers and Ranchers BBQ Social
Where: SLO Farm Bureau Office (4875 Morabito Place, SLO 93401)
Details: College students and young agriculture professionals are invited to come out and enjoy a tri-tip dinner, games, and a PCA Panel.

Where: California Mid-State Fair Livestock Pavilion
Details: Come and barbecue for the dinner that evening, or come and participate in the fun events like the PRWCA's wine pouring, the presentation of the awards, and the annual dinner.

July 21, 2024

What: Farm Supply 4H and FFA Quiz Jam
Where: California Mid-State Fair Livestock Pavilion
Details: Come and watch local 4H and FFA students compete in the 25th Annual Farm Supply Quiz Jam. Over 350 spectators will fill the grandstands at this event. This is a timed, team and peewee event that will challenge over 225 contestants with five agricultrual related tasks.

What: Junior Livestock Replacement Heifer Sale
Where: California Mid-State Fair Livestock Pavilion
Details: Come watch and support local 4H and FFA students as they sell there Replacement Heifers during Friday nights sale.

What: California Mid-State Fair Junior Livestock Auction
Where: California Mid-State Fair Livestock Pavilion
Details: Come watch and support local 4H and FFA students as they sell there livestock at the Jr. Livestock Auction. The SLO Farm Bureau will have a table and we will be running a membership drive!

What: 2024 California Farm Bureau Annual Meeting and YF&R Conference
Where: Monterey, California
Details: The California Farm Bureau hosts an annual meeting and state conference. This year the conference will be held in Monterey, CA. Members can attend workshops on Policy, Professional Development, and Marketing, Branding, and Sales. There are also continuing education sessions for Pesticide Certification.
