Light Brown Apple Moth Update

Tuesday, October 23, San Luis Obispo Department of Agriculture, Weights and Measures have received ID and confirmation from CDFA and USDA that all pending samples from the Cambria area are negative for Light Brown Apple Moth. 

“We will continue with the countywide trapping survey (along with the other target pests we trap for) but are currently in the clear with the Cambria situation,” said Lilley, Agriculture Commissioner.

The Cambria nursery has also been cleared and is now open for business. The Agriculture commissioners Staff will continue to do a thorough job of inspecting incoming shipments for quarantine pests (pest exclusion) and conducting a systematic trapping survey (pest detection) in nurseries and urban areas as the most likely point of introduction.
