Oak Recourses Committee:
The Oak Recourses Committee presented the committee's findings and recommendations to the County Board of Supervisors on December 19, 2006. Outlined in the report was the need to develop a voluntary program to encourage the protection, preservation and mitigation of oak trees in the county. Supervisors voted unanimously to support the recommendations, and directed Planning staff to come back to the Board with a proposal on how staff will implement the recommendations.
Farm Bureau continues to work toward a compromise with County Staff and local land property rights groups on the Cayucos Viewshed Ordinance. Currently, the ordinance is back with the County Planning Staff for review, and will return to the Board of Supervisors sometime in 2007.

Later, the Board voted to review possible rule amendments in the Williamson Act.
