Types of Memberships
Voting Membership
$160 per year.
Farmers and ranchers who receive income from the farming industry join as Voting members and receive the quarterly San Luis Obispo Country Magazine. SLO Country informs members and Central Coast residents about the connections between agriculture and consumers. The Ag Update e-newsletter is e-mailed eight times a year to keep our members informed about local events and reports on local and state issues concerning farming and ranching in the county. Voting members also receive the weekly Ag Alert, California's number one agricultural trade journal. Voting members are eligible for special discounts on insurance through our insurance partners, Health Net, Allied & Nationwide Insurance and State Fund. Voting members are also eligible to sign up for "Notes from Farm Bureau," San Luis Obispo County Farm Bureau’s digital weekly update that contains information and hot links on important county and state issues.
Sustaining Membership
$72 per year.
Sustaining members are those interested in supporting the preservation of agriculture. Sustaining members receive the the quarterly San Luis Obispo Country Magazine. SLO Country informs members and Central Coast residents about the connections between agriculture and consumers. The Ag Update e-newsletter is e-mailed eight times a year to keep our members informed about local events and reports on local and state issues concerning farming and ranching in the county. A Sustaining member also receives California Country, filled with useful information and background on food production, home gardening and other subjects. Sustaining members are eligible for special discounts on insurance.
Business Support Membership
$400 per year.
Business Support members are businesses (agriculturally related and non-agriculturally related) who support the protection and promotion of viable agriculture production in SLO County and California. Business Support members receive the same benefits as Voting and Sustaining members. They receive the quarterly San Luis Obispo Country Magazine and the Ag Update e-newsletter, e-mailed eight times a year. Business Support members also will receive either the Ag Alert or the California County magazine. All Business Support members are listed in the Business Support section of our website.
President's Club Membership
$400 per year.
President's Club members are Voting and Sustaining Members who support the protection and promotion of viable agriculture production in SLO County and California. President's Club members receive the quarterly San Luis Obispo Country Magazine and the Ag Update e-newsletter, e-mailed eight months a year. President's Club members also will receive either the Ag Alert or the California County magazine. The additional dues collected for a President's Club Membership stay in San Luis Obispo County.
