Types of Memberships
Agricultural Membership
$160 per year.
Farmers and ranchers who receive income from the farming industry join as Agricultural members and receive the following benefits.
* The quarterly San Luis Obispo Country Magazine emphasizes the importance of agriculture in daily living and educates consumers, media and legislators about the food, fiber and flowers grown in our county.
* Ag Update e-newsletter, sent to your e-mailbox eight times a year, reports on local and state issues concerning farming and ranching in the county.
* Ag Alert, California's number one agricultural trade journal is mailed to you bi-weekly.
* Special discounts on insurance through our insurance partners, Health Net, Allied and Nationwide Insurance and State Fund.
* Agricultural members are also eligible to sign up for "Notes from Farm Bureau," San Luis Obispo County Farm Bureau’s digital weekly update that contains information and hot links on important county and state issues.
Associate Membership
$72 per year.
Associate members are those interested in supporting the preservation of agriculture. Associate members receive the following benefits.
* The quarterly San Luis Obispo Country Magazine emphasizes the importance of agriculture in daily living and educates consumers, media and legislators about the food, fiber and flowers grown in our county.
* Ag Update e-newsletter, sent to your e-mailbox eight times a year, reports on local and state issues concerning farming and ranching in the county.
* California Country Magazine, published six times a year, is filled with useful information and background on food production, home gardening and other subjects.
* Special discounts on insurance.
Business Support Membership
$400 per year.
Business Support members are businesses (agriculturally related and non-agriculturally related) who support the protection and promotion of viable agriculture production in SLO County and California. Business Support members are listed in the Business Support section of our website, e-newsletter and magazine and receive the following benefits.
* The quarterly San Luis Obispo Country Magazine.
* Ag Update e-newsletter, e-mailed eight times a year.
* Either Ag Alert or California County Magazine.
President's Club Membership
$400 per year.
President's Club members are Agricultural and Associates Members who support the protection and promotion of viable agriculture production in SLO County and California. President's Club members receive the following benefits.
* The quarterly San Luis Obispo Country Magazine.
* Ag Update e-newsletter, e-mailed eight months a year.
* Either Ag Alert or California County Magazine. The additional dues collected for a President's Club Membership stay in San Luis Obispo County.
