Hunger Awareness Day

June 5th, 2007

Join the San Luis Obispo County Farm Bureau and Young Farmers & Ranchers Committee on Tuesday, June 5, 2007, to support the San Luis Obispo County Food Bank Coalition in raising money for the local chapter and encourage awareness for Hunger Awareness Day. This day serves as a platform for domestic hunger-relief organizations to raise awareness about hunger in America.

The challenge: Raise enough money in just one day to feed 25,000 hungry people in San Luis Obispo County for a year.

The solution: The Food Bank Coalition can do it if everyone gives a dollar – or more –on Hunger Awareness Day.

Set up an e-mail chain with your friends and family. Challenge coworkers to give on Hunger Awareness Day.

Each dollar will feed a hungry child for a week. Or a hungry family for a day.
