In adapting the Farm Team program to allow San Luis Obispo County Farm Team members to communicate with their representative on the San Luis Obispo County Board of Supervisors, it requires you to identify the district in which you reside. For most, the map included in this article allows you to identify your district and the Supervisor who represents you. For those of you who live close to the border of a district, please follow the direction in the sidebar to determine your district. Based on your address, the Farm Team program will direct your e-mails and letters to those elected to represent you at the state and federal level. As a Farm Team member, communicating with your state and national representatives requires only a few clicks of your mouse.

Helping to ensure the right people are elected to serve you is of critical importance. Once elected, however, communicating directly with those elected to serve you is the single most important way to help shape public policy. With Farm Team, we are committed to helping make it easier for you to be a voice for our industry.
Looking to 2008, Farm Team members will be busy! We will roll out the San Luis Obispo Farm Team program giving you a tool to communicate directly with our Board of Supervisors on issues important to the agriculture industry in our county. At the same time Farm Team members have the opportunity to work on legislative issues at the state level and help with campaign activities during two separate elections.
- June 3rd Primary: Primary election for state legislative and congressional seats and expect to see the Farm Bureau sponsored California Property Owners & Farmland Protection Act on the ballot.
- November 4th General: General election for state legislative and congressional seats, and a water bond could appear on this ballot.
